Valentine’s Day: San Francisco-style

Image

Everyone knows you can leave your heart in San Francisco. And since 2004, these sculptures have been spotted all over town. Created as a public art display to benefit the San Francisco General Hospital Foundation, the Hearts in San Francisco have become a permanent part of the landscape. Each year a new group of artists are chosen to put their unique spin on these sculptures (Tony Bennett being one of them), which are then auctioned off. And I think they add an extra layer of charm on Valentine’s Day. Here are a couple I pass on a regular basis.
